Governed the 2011 and 2015 elections and reformed INEC’s powers — repealed and replaced by the Electoral Act 2022.
The Electoral Act 2010 repealed the 2006 Act and governed the 2011 and 2015 general elections. It strengthened INEC's independence and funding, revised party primaries and candidate-substitution rules, and set election-petition timelines. It was repealed and replaced by the Electoral Act 2022 (itself later re-enacted as the Electoral Act 2026).
